Team standing around car

The Off-Track Awards showcase the range of skills that go into each Shell Eco-marathon project and recognise the outstanding achievements of the teams off the track.

On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, the winners of the final region were announced in Europe Off-Track Awards live on Instagram and Twitter. Norman Koch, Global General Manager Shell Eco-marathon returned as our host, in the virtual show, who alongside a panel of judges revealed the winners. This time special guest Oliver Rowland, Nissan E.dams Formula E driver joined the show to congratulate the teams on their efforts.

We had a brilliant response to the European leg of the competition in all six categories, receiving more than 60 submissions from 15 different countries across the region. With a high calibre of submissions, judging was once again no easy task. Our expert panel applied rigor in their selection process, first shortlisting the best teams in each category and then deciding on the final winners who received EUROS 2,500 in prize money.
